The artist has painted a couple of trees and two houses in the foreground, which add depth to the composition. The painting is set during late evening, with a blue sky devoid of the sun, creating a serene and calm atmosphere. In the left corner of the painting, a man is seen walking towards one of the houses along with his loyal dog. The man is depicted wearing a coat and a hat, indicating the cold weather.
